Landfill (Scotland) Regulations 2003

These Regulations set out a pollution control regime for landfills for the purpose of implementing Council Directive 99/31/EC on the landfill of waste in Scotland.
The regulations make changes to the waste control regime to cover agricultural waste. Classifies landfill sites, details the permits needed to create and operate a landfill site, and the requirements for care after site closure [1] [2].
