The [[Waste Disposal Authority|Waste Disposal Authorities]] in the North West of England are listed below. There are three ways for the [[Waste Disposal Authority]] and [[Waste Collection Authority]] to work together and these are listed on the [[Waste Disposal Authority]] page. In the North West of England all three types of arrangement are used.

In the North West the following [[Waste Disposal Authority|Waste Disposal Authorities]] have, or are, in partnerships to procure [[treatment]] and [[disposal]] contracts, some of which are through [[PPP]]/[[PFI]] arrangements:

*Merseyside and Halton Waste Partnership (MHWP) - [[Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council]], [[Liverpool City Council]], [[Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority]], [[Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council]], [[St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council]], [[Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council]] and [[Halton Borough Council]]
