The [[Waste Disposal Authority|Waste Disposal Authorities]] in the East of England are listed below. There are three ways for the [[Waste Disposal Authority]] and [[Waste Collection Authority]] to work together and these are listed on the [[Waste Disposal Authority]] page. In the East of England all three types of arrangement are used.
 
In the East of England the following [[Waste Disposal Authority|Waste Disposal Authorities]] have, or are, in partnerships to procure [[treatment]] and [[disposal]] contracts, some of which are through [[PPP]]/[[PFI]] arrangements:
*[[Bedford Council]] and [[Central Bedfordshire Council]] for [[residual waste]] [[treatment]].
*[[Essex County Council]] and [[Southend-on-Sea Borough Council]] [[PFI]] for the [[Treatment|treatment]]/[[Disposal|disposal]] of [[residual waste]] at the Courtauld Road [[MBT]] facility in Basildon (although this facililty has now closed).
