Plastic with the no. 7 resin code is a miscellaneous category for all other plastic products that do not fit into the six main category types. For example, plastics in this category can be made up of any combination of 1-6 or another, less commonly used plastic[1].
Examples of Other Plastics are[1]:
- Polycarbonate
- Polylactide
- Acrylic
- Acrylonitrile Butadiene
- Styrene
- Fibreglass
- Nylon
- composite plastics e.g. crisp wrappers)
Other Plastics (7) are typically used in baby bottles, water cooler bottles, fibreglass and tupperware.
Other Plastics (7) are not recyclable in normal kerbside recycling collections.
