+Has priorities to:
+* Maintain and develop good working relations with key government officials in [[DEFRA]]; [[DCLG]]; [[BEIS]] and Treasury and with the [[LGA]] to influence policy and legislation at a formative stage and to lobby for change.
+* Respond to relevant government consultations.
+* Represent NAWDO on relevant working groups or at relevant meetings.
+* Liaise with other Local Authority Officer representative bodies to further the interests of local government in the field of resource and waste management.
+* Enable members to share knowledge and information amongst the membership.
+* Provide regular meetings to allow for face-to-face information exchange between the membership and with key industry representatives and government officials.
