The separated wood waste is primarily used in animal bedding, as recycled wood panel board and in [[Biomass EfW]]. The use in [[Biomass EfW]] has increased rapidly over recent years from 1,630,000 tonnes in 2017 to around 2,000,000 tonnes in 2018.
