Wikiwaste:Donate
We Are Not for Profit
WikiWaste has similar objectives and ideals to that of Wikipedia - it is not a news platform and does not rely on advertising or subscriptions, nor does it rely on corporate donations to meet its funding requirements. If you are willing and able to get involved and become part of the ‘community’ that we hope will generate content for WikiWaste then we thank you in advance for the time and effort that you will put in to ensure it continues to be a hub of useful and accessible information.
If you don’t have the time to donate, but have somebody within your organisation that could work with the WikiWaste team for a period under secondment, or help to develop specific content, then we would be delighted to hear from you on info@wikiwaste.org.uk
If time and resource is not available, but you have found the website useful, then please think about making a regular or one-off donation to WikiWaste. We are working towards charitable status, but until we reach that we are afraid donations are not able to be gift-aided. Even small amounts will be gratefully received and for those of you that have managed to use the website for market research or to save time in your day job, perhaps you could think about a donation that reflects how useful it has been to you.
So, in summary:
- To discuss time donation and the possibilities for working more closely with us please contact us on info@wikiwaste.org.uk
- To make a larger one-off contribution, or a regular smaller donation that could make a real difference, please also contact us on info@wikiwaste.org.uk
- To make a small donation to help sustain and develop us, no matter how small, please click on button below to our PayPal hub

Where your donation will go
Running Costs
Web hosting, bandwidth, maintenance of uploaded databases and office costs - all incredibly tightly managed as a start-up but all the little bits mount up!
Content Development
The early stages have relied on donated time by Monksleigh[1] and other authors, and much of the content will continue to be delivered by volunteer editors from the public domain. However, staff will continue to be needed on a regular basis to develop content and add value for the users, as well as audit and moderate the content to ensure the integrity of the platform and that the Code of Conduct is being followed accordingly.
Surplus
Any surplus funds in any year will be re-deployed to Waste Aid[2].
