The Feed-in Tariffs (FIT) scheme was a government programme designed to promote the uptake of renewable and low-carbon electricity generation technologies. Introduced in 2010, it closed on 31st March 2019 and required participating licensed electricity suppliers to make payments on both generation and export from eligible installations [1].
