Summary

Bywaters Recycling And Recovery Centre was built in 2006 and is one of the largest "Clean" MRFs in the UK handling DMR materials and is classified as a Qualifying MRF under the MRF Code of Practice.

History

The Bywaters business is a family owned business that can trace its origins back to 1952. The Bywaters Recycling And Recovery Centre was built as part of a requirement to relocate as a result of the development of the Olympic Park for the 2012 Olympics[1].

Plant

The plant was supplied by Okay Engineering and is capable of processing c.18 tonnes of DMR material per hour, or c.140,000 tonnes per annum of DMR material.
