Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010
Provides a system of environmental permitting for a wide range of potentially polluting activities. These include certain types of waste operations for recovering or disposing waste. The new Environmental Permit has replaced the range of permits and licences that used to apply, including Waste Management Licences[1] [2].
The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010, as amended are made under the Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1999.
The 2010 regulations have been amended 15 times to date and have now been consolidated by the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016[3].
