Waste Disposal South West
The Waste Disposal Authorities in the South West of England are listed below. There are three ways for the Waste Disposal Authority and Waste Collection Authority to work together and these are listed on the Waste Disposal Authority page. In the South West of England all three types of arrangement are used.
In the South West the following Waste Disposal Authorities have, or are, in partnerships to procure treatment and disposal contracts, some of which are through PPP/PFI arrangements:
- West of England Partnership (Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council and South Gloucestershire Council).
- South West Devon Waste Partnership (Plymouth City Council, Devon County Council and Torbay Council).
Somerset Waste Partnership is a formal partnership between the Waste Disposal Authority of Somerset County Council and the Collection Authorities.
