East Midlands Energy Re-Generation Centre (EMERGE): Difference between revisions

An [[EfW]] facility based upon conventional [[combustion]] technology, located at the site of the old coal fired power station in Ratcliffe-on-Soar. The [[East Midlands Energy Re-Generation Centre (EMERGE)| EMERGE]] [[EfW]] Plant is forecast to have a capacity of c.500,000 tonnes per annum generating 49.9MW with around 43.4MW of electricity exported. The site has been developed by [[Uniper]] with planning consent granted in July 2021<ref>[https://www.uniper.energy/emerge#projectdocuments Uniper Project Website]</ref> and the [[Environmental Permit]] consultation ran between January and February 2022<ref>https://consult.environment-agency.gov.uk/psc/ng11-0ee-uniper-uk-limited-draft-decision/ </ref> and was issued in early March.
