Summary
Skelton Grange is described as a combined heat and power facility which, when constructed and fully operational, will process 410,000 tonnes of residual waste (with a permit maximum of 435,000 tonnes per annum) to generate 49 MW (gross) of electricity. Construction
Hitachi Zosen Inova has been named as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contract (EPC) contractor for the delivery of the facility[1].This project will be HZI's 14th project within the UK. Full commissioning of the plant is planned for 2025[3].
Waste Input
The plant is intended to run on residual Household Waste and Commercial Waste and potentially dried Sewage Sludge.
