AmeyCespa is one of the larger waste and recycling companies in the UK, with Amey itself being a top five support services supplier in the UK. Amey services Local Authority and Business customers through a range of waste management facilities focused on four core geographies, including a Residual Waste EFW facility in Yorkshire and MRFs and employ 16,000 people in the UK across all of their full range of services in the UK[1].
History
Amey is owned by Ferrovial, a 'world leading infrastructure company' with over 96,000 employees[2]. In January 2021 it was announced that Urbaser had acquired the six waste management contracts operated by them with an annual value of over £30m[3]:
