Riverside Energy Park (REP)
An EfW facility based upon conventional combustion technology, Riverside Energy Park (REP) has permitted operational capacity of 650,000 tonnes per annum and reached financial close on the 9th December 2022[1]. It is located adjacent to Cory's operational Riverside Resource Recovery Facility (RRRF) on the banks of the River Thames.

Summary

It is located adjacent to Cory's operational Riverside Resource Recovery Facility (RRRF) on the banks of the River Thames.
Technology
The plant is to be delivered by Hitachi Zosen Inova under a Design & Build EPC-turnkey contract[1] - using the same standard combustion technology, air cooled, Hitachi Zosen Inova Grate as the adjacent operational plant.
Construction
The plant is to commence construction in January 2023 with operation due to commence in 2026[1].
Waste Input
The plant is intended to run on residual Household Waste and Commercial Waste. It is understood that the company will continue to engage with the market to secure waste for the plant in East London and the surrounding areas[2].
