The [[Waste Disposal Authority|Waste Disposal Authorities]] in the East Midlands of England are listed below. There are three ways for the [[Waste Disposal Authority]] and [[Waste Collection Authority]] to work together and these are listed on the [[Waste Disposal Authority]] page. In the East Midlands of England all three types of arrangement are used.

In the East Midlands the following [[Waste Disposal Authority|Waste Disposal Authorities]] have, or are, in partnerships to procure [[treatment]] and [[disposal]] contracts, some of which are through [[PPP]]/[[PFI]] arrangements:

*[[Derbyshire County Council]] and [[Derby City Council]] [[PPP]] to procure the now mothballed [[Sinfin Lane]] Gasification facility. A decision on the future of the plant and future [[disposal]]/[[treatment]] options for [[residual waste]] is due shortly.

*[[Nottinghamshire County Council]] and [[Nottingham City Council]] [[PPP]] to [[Treatment|treat]]/[[Disposal|dispose]] of [[residual waste]] at [[Eastcroft EfW (Lines 1 & 2)]]
