Glanford Power Station is permitted to receive up to 160,000 tonnes a year of waste, focused on Meat and Bone Meal (MBM) but also capable of processing poultry litter.

Plant Description
The plant is based on standard combustion via a single line chain-grate technology. It can generate up to 13.5MWe for export to the grid[2][3].
History
The facility was originally commissioned in 1993 to burn poultry litter, and then re-engineered and refurbished in 2000 to generate electricity from Meat and Bone Meal (MBM)[1].
The permit allows up to 160,000 tonnes a year of poultry litter or 110,000 tonnes a year of MBM and is operated by EPR Glanford (a Melton Renewables Energy business)[1][2][3].
