Policy
Prior to the UK's exit from the EU, waste policy and legislation was primarily developed within Brussels and then adopted within the various regulatory statutes throughout the UK.
However, as waste has moved away from control in Westminister to each of the Devolved Administrations of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland the policy framework has become more complex as the individual nations of the UK take more control over the management of waste and recycling produced within their geographical boundaries.
This category lists the current waste and recycling policies relevant to each of the Nations throughout the UK.
