Ridham Dock
A Combined Heat and Power (CHP), Ridham Biomass Power Plant, also known as Ridham Dock) is permitted to receive up to 195,000 tonnes a year of waste wood to produce 23 MW power to be exported to the national grid, with heat to the fed into the district heating network or is used as process steam for industrial processes.
The facility is located at Ridham Dock near Sittingbourne, in Kent.

Plant Description
The plant is based on standard combustion via a single line grate technology to a single turbine processing up to 20.5 tonnes per hour of waste wood at a NCV of 14MJ/kg[2][4].
History
The facility cost approximately £126 million to develop and was opened in November 2016[1].
The plant was developed by MVV Environment and constructed by CNIM, with the Clugston acting as the main contractor[3].
