Skelton Grange EfW
An EfW facility based upon conventional combustion technology with a permitted of capacity of 410,000 tonnes per year. The plant is owned and operated by Enfinium and is located near Leeds.
Delivery of waste is primarily by road, and the facility processes primarily residual Household and Commercial waste.1].

Plant Description
Hitachi Zosen Inova (now Kanadevia Inova) delivered the plant under a Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contract (EPC) contractor.
The plant comprises two lines of a standard moving grate technology processing around 22.2 tonnes per hour of waste per line and producing super-heated steam and 41.6MWe gross, with a net export of 38MWe[2].
The technology is Kanadevia Inova's own EfW technology[3].
History
It reached financial close at the beginning of July 2021[1].
Full commissioning of the plant was planned for 2025[3] and the plant 'opened its doors' in late 2025[5].
The plant is designed to run on residual Household Waste and Commercial Waste and potentially dried Sewage Sludge.
In February 2021 Enfinium signed a 10 year waste supply contract for 250,000 tonnes per annum with Associated Waste Management (part of the Beauparc business,now Panda), which has a site a mile form the Skelton Grange site , for supply to this site and others in the Enfinium EfW portfoilio[4].
